Torchlight Procession
A spectacular and unforgettable torchlight procession through the City with pipers and drummers to Holyrood Park. On reaching the park the torchbearers form the outline of Scotland, wicker sculptures each representing a region of Scotland are placed within the outline and set ablaze as Scotland's beating heart.
Bairns Afore
Popular family event that gives families and children the opportunity to join in the Hogmanay Party. Held in the main stage at West Prince Street Gardens live bands bring rock and pop to the stage for everyone to dance to finished off by a spectacular firework display at Edinburgh Castle. Tickets £10.00

A festive celebration to end the Year at St Giles Cathedral. Not suitable for babies or younger children.
Ceilidh Under the Castle

Street Party
Bring in the New Year, at the world’s best street party in the home of Hogmanay. Edinburgh invites the world to celebrate the New Year. Party all night at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party hosted by Johnnie Walker, with every reveller (over 18s only with ID) will receive a free dram of Johnnie Walker Whisky to bring in the New Year and toast 2019!Hosted by Love Island’s Aftersun DJs The Mac Twins, the street party starts at 7.30pm. Dance until long after the midnight bells, with bands, DJs and street performers from Scotland and mainland Europe to make the party of a lifetime.
