Superbly positioned for Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town, Princes St, EICC, the theatre district and rugby at Murrayfield. Newly decorated, my contemporary and spacious 1st floor apartment is to be found in a traditional sandstone tenement directly opposite the birthplace of Sir Sean Connery. On the doorstep of the Union Canal basin, it's a fabulous base to explore the vibrant centre of Edinburgh, and nearby is a lovely selection of up-and-coming eating and drinking establishments.

The space
Situated at Fountainbridge – Sir Sean Connery’s film production company, Fountainbridge Films, is named after this area where he was born and grew up – the apartment is freshly decorated and fully refurbished to provide a fresh, spacious, clean and modern living environment.
There is a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen and living area, a large and spacious king-sized double bedroom, and a toilet and shower-room with electric power shower. To enjoy your stay, it has all the facilities you will need to make yourself feel right at home including tea, coffee and condiments, washing machine, family-sized fridge-freezer, luxury leather double sofabed, 42” HD-TV with cable channels, comfy and fully-sprung king-sized bed (bedding and fluffy towels provided) and high-speed fibre-optic internet.
Close to Lothian Road and Tollcross, it's the perfect apartment to have as a base to explore Edinburgh at any time of year as a short walk will take you to many of Edinburgh's popular tourist attractions - either the historic Grassmarket, Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the historic Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Princes St and its gardens or The Meadows (Edinburgh’s best park).
Many of my guests are thespians as the King’s Theatre, Lyceum Theatre and Usher Hall are in the vicinity. If you are in Edinburgh for business, the apartment is located in the new financial district and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) is close by. If you are a rugby fan, Murrayfield Stadium is also within easy walking distance.
Directly behind the apartment is the Union Canal and a few minutes along the canal walkway takes you to Lochrin Canal Basin/ Edinburgh Quay. The area itself is famous for its variety of restaurants, quirky bars, independent cafes and art house cinemas.
Located at the front of the building, it catches the late afternoon/evening sun.
I look forward to welcoming you very soon!

Guest access
A secure entryphone system gives access to the building. It is only up one set of stairs to the first floor, the apartment itself is on the one level.
Guests have exclusive use of the apartment, there is also access to a shared south-facing communal garden/courtyard at the rear of building.
Interaction with guests
The apartment is total yours for your stay and, where possible, I will welcome you on arrival and show you around. I'm available via Airbnb or telephone if you need any help or advice and please feel free to ask any questions you want either before or after booking.
Other things to note
The apartment building is an original and traditional Edinburgh tenement built at the turn of the last century and located on a main road. It is not the prettiest of buildings, although the outside of the block has recently been repainted, and comes with it's own quirks and idiosyncrasies due to its age.
There is free on-street parking outside, available Monday to Friday between 17.30 to 08.30 and all day Saturday and Sunday. Outside these times is metered parking as well as longer-stay car-parks nearby.
