As you will see, we enjoy exploring Edinburgh on foot, using public transport (buses and trains) when necessary.
Perhaps one of the greatest pleasures of visiting Edinburgh is exploring the cafés and bars. Personal choice and experience is naturally the best guidance. There are plenty to choose from!

This café is popular with tourists, not least because it is centrally located in the Old Town, and is one of the cafés where J.K. Rowling used to sit while first writing her Harry Potter series of books. 550m south southwest from Waverley station. 10 minutes’ walk.
