Great location
The apartment was very clean and modern, with a well equiped kitchen. Great location for central Edinburgh and a walk to Arthurs Seat. The only thing I would change is the breakfast bar which is virtually impossible to sit at to eat a meal as other people have also commented on. It would be very easy to put in a table and chairs and would make a big difference!. Apart from that we couldn't fault it at all and Hogmanay in Edinburgh is great fun!

Good, nicely furnished and large flat
We had a very pleasant time staying in this flat (4 people). Since it is almost brand new, everything is in very good shape. Having two bathrooms was a considerable plus. The person in charge of handing us the keys was very nice. We would definitely stay there again or recommend it.

Good
The flat is lovely, we really enjoyed our stay because we felt at home, loads of nice books, CD, internet free, nice beds, we had everything we needed even a hair dryer, wash machine, the flat is totally furnished and we really felt at home. Is very easy to take a bus to the city center, bus every 5 min and the bus stop is 1 min from the flat. We just think the price was a little bite expensive but if compair with edinburgh price was ok, apart from this worth to stay in that flat, if we came back to Edinbra we will saty there again for sure.

Good Central Location
Within walking distance of most attractions, theatres and shops! The apartment was comfortable and very quiet. As we were self-catering the only down side was no dishwasher or if there was one we never found it! We would stay again.

Beutifully appointed and great location
Great flat, ideal location and well priced. The stairs are punchy, but otherwise fantastic.

Loved the Apartment
The apartment was beautifully furnished, everything was spotless and we had everything we needed. The quality of the soft furnishings was a luxury, can only aspire to The White Company goods at home! The bedroom is charming and promises nocturnal bliss. The Scottish touches of historical prints and books were appreciated, I enjoyed reading Byron again, touched on Burns and just looked at Scott!(would have loved to have taken the apartment home with us!!) The Location was perfect for exploring Edinburgh. Should we return we will be booking again through yourselves and recommending you to anyone else who is planning on visiting.

Lovely,central flat
This flat is in a very handy location within easy walking distance of the city centre and also on the main bus routes. The facilities are excellent and the little touches made all the difference - we visited over xmas and it was really lovely to have the xmas tree there for us! Would definitely stay there again.

Great flat, great location.
Great flat right in the heart of the old town. It is spotless and has everything you will need, even a pint of milk when you arrive. Much better than being couped up in a hotel room.

Good location and easy access for centre
Really nice, light, spacious, modern and warm apartment directly overlooking the river and its restaurants / bars / cafes in Leith (to suit all tastes and budgets). Very well equipped and tastefully decorated and furnished. Huge fridge freezer and TV! Large kitchen / living area complete with small dining table / chairs plus comfy sofas. Balcony overlooking the river. Second bedroom overlooks the river, too, but master bedroom (with ensuite) overlooks car park at rear. (Easy, free parking.) Bus stop directly opposite with very regular, very cheap buses taking you right into Princes Street (why bother with the car?). Or 40 minutes' walk into the centre. Local shops (e.g. Sainsburys Local) but quite a walk / bus ride to the nearest large supermarket. We'll definitely be returning as I don't really think we could find anywhere nicer or better located. Only criticism is that the master bedroom bed could have been more comfortable - but nothing that a mattress topper couldn't solve.

Lovely Location
Perfect apartment and lovely owners- everything we needed as well as being full of character. Great location- just a short walk from the city centre. Very clean and well presented all round. Only downsides were not being able to run both showers at the same time, and the fact that the wireless internet signal in the building did not reach our apartment. Also we could hear almost every footstep and more from upstairs which stopped us from sleeping a couple of nights. This didn't spoil our stay overall however and would recommend this apartment and may even use again!

Close to Holyrood
This is a nice flat that was good for getting to the Royal Mile, Holyrood and Arthurs Seat. The flat is a good size, well maintained and very clean. It has a great shower in the ensuite and a nice open plan living/kitchen area. The down side is that it is very difficult to sit at the breakfast bar and eat a meal. We also had noisy neighbours which may not be a problem if you are staying in Edinburgh for the night life but we were with our toddler daughter and we were woken at 4am up due to the noise from above.

Cleaners marred the experience
A nice flat and we were welcomed early in the morning by a nice man. We arranged to make the full payment for the month by internet transfer to the owners account. Later that day we received a rude email saying we should pay immediately or have to leave the flat that day. We could not understand this sudden change in behaviour and had not come across it in this context before although we have come across prejudice generally. The cleaners who came once during the month and once at the end then accused of us "spoiling" the sheets, presumably with body fluids- which was a complete lie. Another cleaner said there was felt tip pen on the children's bedroom sheets which there wasn't and anyway the cleaner had stated the wrong beds as being occupied by the children. This marred the stay as we had kept the place very clean and tidy. I was not sure if the cleaners were trying to use any excuse to keep the deposit of 200 pounds. No spare sheets or towels were supplied except for one in the middle of our stay. The flat was cute and central.

Response from landlord:
Please accept our apologies for the miscommunication about your payment which arose because this was a last minute booking. Normally balances are cleared prior to arrival at the flat.
We are extremely disappointed about the impression you gained about our cleaning staff, and we are investigating this matter. We do not condone prejudice, and do all we can to stamp it out.
We encourage all our guests to contact us immediately should they encounter problems of any nature, so that we can address the issues at the time.

Lovely Homely Atmosphere
Hi Janet and Lenore, Just to say how much we enjoyed our stay . What a lovely house; very well equipped with lovely homely atmosphere. The situation is beautiful with the garden running right down to the river. It is aso handy to public transport into the city center. Indeed it was hard to believe that we were just five minutes from the main road. We would highly recommend this property and we shall certainly use it again.

Great flat in great location
We stayed here for a few days and we had such a great time. The flat was immaculate and in a great location so close to the centre. The landlady was just so helpful and absolutely lovely. I would recommend this place to to anyone visiting Edinburgh and we will definitely be staying here again next time we come back up.
