Leith Flat 3

We stayed in this flat for a long weekend in February. The flat itself was comfortable and nicely decorated. Heating is from electric night storage heaters which are not the most controlable but kept the sitting room nicely warm. The dedicated free car parking immediately behind the flat was a real bonus. The building of which the flat forms part was, however, rather less well looked after with shappy and poorly decorated common stairs and hallways. Only about a third of the flats within the block seemed occupied. The location is good with many excellent bars and restaurants in close proximity. Being on the top floor there were no issues with noise from these. We used public transport to get to the City Centre with the very good frequent bus sservice taking circa 15 minutes. All in all the flat provided us with a very satisfactory and good value for money base from which to explore the City

Excellent house with a warm welcome! 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this house, I liked the decor, cleanliness of the house with a feel of freshness in everything we see and touch. I really have to say about landlords Mr. Alcorn and Mrs Margaret, they are so lovable and took special care about our journey and arrival time. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family and also to others. This house is in very convenient place to shops (Sainsbusrys just opposite) and restaurants.

Fantastic apartment 5

Apartment was absolutely perfect! We were even greeted with some Scottish shortbread and facilities to make tea and coffee (including fresh milk). There were 5 of us staying for a hen party. Apartment was clean and well-equipped. Enough clean towels for all of us!! Lovely and spacious and great central location - just 10 min away from the castle and a stones throw away from bars, lovely restaurants and great cafes. Would highly recommend wand would love to go back.

Good central flat 4

A very central location beneath the castle. Good access to all attractions including pubs and cafes at night within walking distance. The flat itself has everything you need though the cooker could do with a good clean and some TLC. Parking in the day time is an issue though for a few days it can be overcome. We parked out at Murrayfield and walked in and out. All in all Edinburgh is a great city and your flat allowed us to enjoy our experience. Thanks very much.

Gorgeous central flat 5

Beautifully done up flat in very central location - you can see the castle from the front rooms that are also overlooking the Grassmarket! (Hence also notable night-life noises if that disturbs you) Spiral staircase may be a consideration for some - but our boys loved it. Only consideration for us was the parking - you can stay securely in a hotel car-park 2 minutes walk away for £15 a night, but for loading/off-loading it was a bit tricky to pull in next to the entrance. But we'll definitely come back!

feel at home while being in edinburgh 5

As I have been to Edinburgh many times before and also lived there for a year, I know the city well and tried to find a place which makes us feel at home in a nice area which is not touristy but close to all the tourist attractions. The flat was exactly what we were looking for and a perfect home base for us while we spend 6 days in Edinburgh! It is beautifully arranged with lots of details, very well equipped and perfectly located. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking, there are loads of information about Edinburgh and the area in books, easy food shopping (whole-food store around the corner), nice little restaurants just opposite of the house. The area is interesting with its cafes, restaurants, art galleries and arty shops. It is in walking distance to the main sightings in the centre and also to the shopping area. Thanks to the windy weather we caught a cold and even while being a bit sick we still felt at home, having a hot whirlpool-bath and chilling on the sofa at night. Charlotte has got a beautiful place that she rents out and is totally welcoming and helpful! So everything gave us the feeling of "being at home". We surely will be back for our next stay!

brilliant flat but dirty 3

This is an excellent flat. Great location and a good size. Its very much a lived in feel, which we liked. Well equipped and comfortable with plenty of nice towels. However it was absolutely filthy. Dog hairs everywhere- lots in the sink. Bathroom bin had'nt been emptied. Floors muddy, toilets not cleaned at all. The owner is very nice to deal with and very helpful. I hope she will find a new cleaner as the flat is so nice otherwise.

The flat was perfect for our large group who were in Edinburgh for hogmanay. Especially liked the city centre location, and the great views out over the harbour. Very comfortable rooms and kitchen / dining area. Especially enjoyed the complimentary champagne on arrival Would like to have stayed for longer! Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone

Perfect Accomodations 5

We stayed over for a week during Hogmanay. The flat couldn't of been more perfect. It was a great home away from home with comfortable beds and a hot powerful shower. And you can't beat the location. The owners are lovely, going out of there way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Excellent value for money. 5

Stayed here for 4 nights over New Year. Excellant location, free parking close by and a Tesco store opposite, what could be better. The flat was spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. The bedrooms were on the back of the building and were lovely and quiet at night. It was an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh so didn't need to use the car, buses or taxi's. But there was a bus stop near by if needed. I would recommend this flat to anyone who wants to be quite central but doesn't want to pay over inflated prices of a lot of other places. Excellent value for money and attention to detail.

Fantastic flat, 10 mins walk from Princes Street 5

We booked this quite last minute to stay over NYE. The flat was lovely - far better than we ever expected. each room done out to a high standard. Everything you needed was there. A 10 minute walk and you can be on Princes street and near all the shops. I would highly recommend this apartment and when visiting Edinburgh again I will definitely look to stay here.
