Excellent central flat 5

Have just stayed in a lovely, clean and very well appointed flat in central Edinburgh. It was excellent, and so well equipped even down to bin bags and tin foil. I absolutely would recommend this place, it's stunning. Great location, and every need met, what more could you ask for ?????

Quiet, central flat 5

Everything was thought of in the very comfortable flat. The welcome basket was a pleasant surprise, also milk and fruit juice to save rushing out to the shops. Waitrose is an easy walk, as long as you are prepared for a hill, but you are in Scotland!!!

Well-equipped, elegantly furnished comfortable flat 5

Located off the bus lines 7, 11, 14, and 21 (thus giving easy access to the Old & New Towns), the flat is in a quiet residential area. All appliances and furnishings are to a high standard - there's nothing shabby here, though we did find the kitchen a bit cramped. The ceilings are very high and the whole place feels airy and spacious. For those with small children, there are several playparks within walking distance. The only thing that bothered us was the building's common stairwell up to the flat. It is dark and does not look well-maintained at all in comparison to the flat and building exterior, in fact it was downright scary even when the lights came on in the evening. However, the flat itself is tastefully done up: the first picture of the living room and bay window is certainly an accurate depiction of its character.

central and very friendly flat 5

A very comfortable apartment, not missing any details. The kitchen is very well equipped, after long walks was comforting to feel at home. It was an experience that we repeat. If we're lucky and we find a house like this on our vacation, we forget the hotels. My family and I have been delighted. Very close to a supermarket to buy. Interact with the owner through e also has been easy and enjoyable. Worth it when we arrived everything was in order sy the weekend. Good luck on your trip.

Civilisation in the heart of the Fringe 5

Lovely, roomy flat, well equipped and comfortable, about 3 minutes' walk from Bristo Square and the heart of the Fringe. Plenty of space for visitors and props, good shower and WiFi, and clear information to hand on how everything works. Also - lovely neighbours.

Delightful Flat 5

Have just returned from a 3 night stay, a 50 year reunion with Edinburgh flat mates . We shared a flat in Morningside in the 60's. The facilities and position of the flat are excellent but the personal care of the owner made it like staying in a private house but one with more bathrooms than home! The nearest free parking we found to the flat was a 25 minute walk away. Advise abandoning car if pos as very near bus stop.

Ideal Location for everything 5

Lovely flat, everything catererd for with all amenities to hand. Great places to eat and despite the stairs, we loved it and certainly fitter and part of the character to the building. Have no hesitation in recommending this flat and will return again

Good central flat 4

This flat is well furnished and equipped and in a wonderfully central position. It is in a relatively quiet part of Rose St and with the double glazing we were only rarely disturbed by street noise. The only problem we had was that one of the double beds is only four feet wide, which we think should be described as a "small double". However, we understand that either the bed or the description will be changed. Edinburgh Flats were very helpful and efficient, especially when some items left in the flat had to be returned. Overall would definitely recommend it.

Response from landlord:
The flat has been refurbished with all new beds. The small double has been replaced with a standard double bed.

Home away from home 5

This apartment is convenient, very welcoming. Angie was a great hostess, our flight was delay and she was very helpful in rearranging the key drop off. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to a taxi stand, and to bus stations. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes (or less) to the center of town by Princess street and train station where you can take the train to outskirts of Scotland all the way to London. The place is big we were three adults and we had no issues. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a TV with DVD player in case you are traveling with kids. The street is very quiet and safe I fell in love with Edinburgh and I think this apartment had a lot to do with that. If we ever go back we will love to stay in the same place.

I recently stayed in this flat with my cast when we performed our play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. All of us were happy with the accommdation, it has pretty much everything you need for a short stay and the rooms are pleasant enough.

very good central flat 4

I've now stayed in this property on two occasions. Really convenient/central location. Very clean with plenty useful amenities in the flat. Rooms aren't massive but ideal for a short break with a family (as we were) or group of friends.

Beautiful house in a great location. Great size, plenty of room for the 10 of us and a bonus that each bedroom had its own ensuite. Definitely like to return one day. Would recommend to anyone!

Great location, great apartment, great service 5

From the booking process, through the pre-stay information, the handover and of course the stay itself, everything went perfectly. The apartment is in a great location, very close to the interesting bits of town but at the same time in a relatively quiet area. There is a small Tesco within a couple of minutes walk which is open until 11pm. The apartment is small but fine for 3 people (or 4 I guess but there were only 3 of us!). The combined kitchen and living area makes for a very sociable setting although perhaps the sofa could be slightly more comfortable and/or fixed so the seats don't keep sliding off. The WiFi access worked well and was appreciated, if only so we could blog our activities during our stay. I very much like the decision by the owners to leave unused basic foodstuffs from the previous let in the cupboards. It's so nice not to have to buy sugar etc knowing you'll be throwing 90% of it away when you leave. Dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid and a J cloth were all provided, again it was nice not to have to go and get the basics. The bathroom has a nice shower (powerful and hot) over the bath as well as a very welcome heated towel rail. For some reason, although there is plenty of water pressure at the sink and shower the toilet takes ages to refill, maybe that could be improved? We only met the owner once, at handover. He was very welcoming and helpful, taking time to explain what was where etc and even going to get more dishwasher tabs when he noticed there were none. Overall this was a very successful stay, many thanks.
