There were 6 of us staying in the flat visiting Edinburgh for Hogmanay and the New Year. We found the flat in great condition in a prime location. Princes street, Grassmarket and the Royal Mile all within less than 10 minutes walking distance. Glyn (the owner) was most helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and without doubt would stay in this apartment again.

I recently stayed in this flat with my cast when we performed our play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. All of us were happy with the accommdation, it has pretty much everything you need for a short stay and the rooms are pleasant enough.

I've now stayed in this property on two occasions. Really convenient/central location. Very clean with plenty useful amenities in the flat. Rooms aren't massive but ideal for a short break with a family (as we were) or group of friends.

Stayed in the flat 08/08/2012 to 10/08/2012. Myself and 4 other adults. Excellent location - Castle /Royal Mile / Grass market only a few mins walk away. Only reason I rated the flat as very good and not excellent is the communal hallway into the flat leaves a bad first impression. Although once inside the accommodation is more than adequate. Clean linen provided and good kitchen facility. Only other pointer is the shower tap seems to be in reverse. To get cold water turn to red and vice versa.

This flat is in a great location in central Edinburgh. Princes Street is a four minute walk to the left and Edinburgh Castle is a four minute walk to the right when you leave the front door. Good supermarkets are a two minute walk away which is important when you are self catering. The flat is very clean, comfortable and with all mod cons. You can cook yourself or take advantage of the various types of restaurants in the nearby streets. Good car park just around the corner from the flat. As a group of 4 adults and 1 child we had plenty of room. I would recommend this flat to anyone looking for a good central location in Edinburgh

3 beds and sofebed in Lounge. 4 adults and 4 children plus child in cot stayed for 4 nights. We found the flat had everything we needed, and was so central we could walk to all the sights, castle etc.

Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 children. Space was good. Furnishings comfortable. Some new crockery and glasses are needed as many items are chipped - maybe I'm just fussy! Towels and linen were supplied and these were all OK. Just be aware there are quite a few stairs but we didn't find this a problem. The owner's daughter met us with the keys, a very pleasant girl.

Following this review, the crockery and glasses have now been upgraded in the property along with various other kitchen equipment. At the same time bedding and several pieces of bedroom furniture have also been upgraded to improve overall comfort and quality of the surroundings for guests. It is always useful to receive feedback from guests either by a quick email, or leaving a note or via a review, as this is the quickest way for me to be able to address any concerns, so even if issues appear minor in nature please don’t hesitate to feed them back to me either during or at the end of your stay

A very central location beneath the castle. Good access to all attractions including pubs and cafes at night within walking distance. The flat itself has everything you need though the cooker could do with a good clean and some TLC. Parking in the day time is an issue though for a few days it can be overcome. We parked out at Murrayfield and walked in and out. All in all Edinburgh is a great city and your flat allowed us to enjoy our experience. Thanks very much.

The flat is well equipped and we had everything we needed for a four night 'Fringe' stay (we were not in a great deal!) The central location was a big plus. There were six of us which was fine. We felt that it would be a bit cramped for eight. Glyn was very pleasant and helpful. All in all we had a great stay.

The location is good for both old and new town, the flat is compact, but enough space for max 6 people. Bathroom is basic but everything functions well, so that's good enough for us.Sofas nice and squishy, TV definitely huge and free wireless internet access, an absolute plus for family travelling with teenagers and wishing to buy fringe tickets online! The flat was roomy and perfectly adequate for our needs. It was a short walk to the royal mile and grassmarket area. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Overall I would recommend! The good: location, price, and size The less than good: depending on which side of the flat you're on, the noise level varied...walls were thin and you can hear the main door slamming (2 floors below) in the front room. In the back rooms it was quiet, with the only noise from birds squawking in the morning.

I rented this flat for two nights at the end of may. I stayed with 5 freinds and found we had plenty of space. The flat had everything you need for a great trip away and the landlord (Glyn) was very helpful. on our arrival. Edinburgh is now my favourite city in the uk and this is due largly to the great location and homely feeling the flat gave us. The flat is a stones throw from the castle and a five minute(ish) walk from main bars and shops. Cant wait to go back.

My family & i stayed here, very central flat, easy to get every where walking!! But buses running all the time, if you cant walk to far .The flat was well equipped so home from home, really enjoyed our time here, pleased be aware children under 18 arent allow in any of the bars that sell food? u need to go to resturants,as we found out, great place great location good value for money,
