The property was owned by the famous trompe l’oeil artist Willie McLaren (1923 – 1987); it is the only property decorated entirely by him and he had intended to open it to the public upon completion. His work makes this property unique.

It is on the ground floor and the two large windows in the living room look out across to Fife. The living room has a TV/DVD and wifi.

The dining kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a dining table and a window seat which looks out onto a pretty rear garden.

There are 2 bedrooms; one with a double bed and one with twin beds that can be arranged as a large king sized double bed.

The bathroom has bath with hand held shower attachment, basin and WC.

Being in the middle of the New Town, there is easy access to the shopping areas of princes St and George St. great cafes, bars and restaurants around Broughton St and the galleries on Dundas St.

Ironing facilities, bed linen and towels are all provided.

* full payment is required 6 weeks prior to arrival or immediately after booking if booking is within 6 weeks of arrival date
* a refundable damages deposit of £200 is required on entry to the property
* late arrival charges of £20 if arrival is between 8pm and midnight will be incurred and £40 if arrival is after midnight. This is to be paid on arrival
* This is a no smoking property and not suitable for pets.
