Step 2: Add a property

a. Description

We know exactly what our customers want to know and that’s the reason why we use standard descriptions. Please see an example of our standard description here. It would also be helpful if you fill in our questionnaire.
Edinburgh-flats.com will review all descriptions and adapt them when necessary to keep to the standard format.

b. Prices

Our system works with 3 price bands: standard season, low season and high season.

• Standard season: from Easter to end July and Rugby weekends
• Low season: from October to Easter excluding Christmas, Hogmanay and Rugby weekends
• High season: August and Hogmanay

Next step is to define the dates for high and low season. You are free to define your prices and what you consider standard, low or high season. 

Please note that you may set up as many high season periods and low season periods as you wish; the periods when no season is defined the system will apply the standard price.

c. Availability

Here you can block the dates your property is not free to be booked. Please note that the calendar is one of the most important tools in our system. Keeping the availability up to date means our customers will receive the correct information about availability on a property search. It will also save you and our customers time with enquiries.

d. Photographs

On a website the photographs play an important role in marketing the property. We strongly advise you to take special attention to them.
Please note that photographs must be realistic and give a good and accurate image of the rooms, their facilities and their size.
